On the last full moon of the decade, surrounded by rolling hills and tall grass, standing on a bed of golden blooms, with only our heartbeats for tunes, we said I do to each other… and it couldn’t have been more perfect.
Standing amongst nature, holding onto each other, we poured our hearts out, sharing the promises we have lived every single day we’ve been together. We wed in spirit and in love just the two of us.
After 3 weeks of non-stop rain, the clouds parted making way for bright warm sunshine and deep blue skies. We still can’t believe how lucky we were. It felt as though it was meant to be.
Especially since the covid-19 pandemic hit mere months later, which pushed us to postpone our intimate family wedding (and legal ceremony) to 2021. So in the end, not only was our elopement our chance to celebrate our relationship our way, it was also a gift in disguise before the world was turned upside down.
In the end, we couldn’t have dreamed of a better day. It is now safely stored in our cove of memories to be treasured forever.
