I can help plan your elopement in as little as a few weeks, but ideally, I recommend planning between 4 - 12 months in advance. Booking early also helps ensure I am available on your preferred date, so it's always best to reach out sooner rather than later.
I am based in Sydney, Australia but regularly travel regionally across the country, as well as all over the globe. My travel fees are always included in your custom elopement package, so you don't have to worry about any additional fees.
Your elopement day can and should look however you want it to! One TRUTH I hold closely to my heart is this: your elopement day is your wedding day. It deserves to include of all the details & important memories you want. Whether big or small, your elopement day SHOULD BE TRULY YOURS.
Most of my elopements average between 6 - 8 hours, but how many hours you need will depend on how many locations you want to experience, and what activities you would like to experience for your elopement day. Couples interested in both sunrise & sunset or multiple locations book a full day (10+ hrs.)
Honestly? It will make for great photos and a great story! I'm also an expert at pivoting plans last minute, so you're in good hands. Whether there's a rainstorm at the lookout we had planned, or the national park you were planning on getting married at is on fire, I always have a back-up plan up my sleeve. Whatever Mother Nature throws at us, we’ll be ready!
Adventure doesn’t equal hiking and trails are not a prerequisite for eloping! Some of my couples love it, whilst some wouldn’t dream of it. If you’re looking to hike, I recommend no more than 2 - 3 km each way. Otherwise, if you’re comfortable with a short walk, I can recommend locations that are easily accessible that still offer epic views.
It depends on your preference. Again, there are no hard rules here. If you would like your elopement (and marriage) to be legally recognised, then booking an official celebrant to craft a ceremony for you is a great plan. However, should you wish to keep your elopement more symbolic & intimate, then you do not need to hire a 3rd party celebrant.
To get married legally in Australia, you require 2 witnesses. Should you wish to include loved ones as part of your ceremony, you're more than welcome to include them as your witnesses. If you're keen on having a "just us two" day, I would be honoured to act as one of your witnesses (and have done so on many occasions for my couples).
